SHYNE 1981-1983

In 1981, SHYNE was founded by Ross A. Santos and Randy Ruebsamen in San Jose, CA.  We were the first Northern CA cross-over band (Christian Rock) and played everything from clubs, concert halls, large outdoor concerts, churches and youth groups.

We performed at many interesting places, including a youth group that handled all the pyro and lighting for us.

Overtime as these things do, names changed, most predominantly was the replacement of Marlon Ragsdale with Jim Ratu on Bass and Vocals.

Unfortunately, there was only one recording found for this SHYNE era, the following songs were recorded in 1983 in Red Bluff, CA at the Little Country Church Open Air Concert.  This is a live recording, the quality is not very good, but it will give you an idea of the first SHYNE.
